We hear all kinds of conflicting reports regarding the benefits of soy in our diets. Dr. Mercola for some unknown reason is dead set against soy in any form. The FDA flip-flops on its benefits, as does the American Heart Association and the AMA. What’s this about?
To put it bluntly: “there is soy and then there is soy.” In the same way there is “sparkling wine” and then there is Dom Perignon. The bottom line is one of quality.
The soy that’s grown from genetic seed, sprayed with pesticides and fertilized with chemicals, the soy protein extracted with alcohol instead of good water is not going to be anyway beneficial for you. However, the organically grown soy grown free of chemicals and watered with and extracted with good, clean water will be beneficial.
